It’s always helpful to talk about important topics from each episode with your child. Here are some Deep Dive Questions to help children and their grown ups debrief after listening to this week’s episode.

  1. Have you ever experienced something like Joey the Crab experienced? What did you do?
  2. How can you stand up for the people you love?
  3. Try a Gratitude Circle with your family! What are you grateful for about each person?

Here’s What We Practiced This Week

The Bubble Shuffle Dance: Sometimes you need to get up and move! The Bubble Shuffle is a great way to start your day, or take a quick dance break in the middle of your day to wake up your body and your mind.

Walk Away Quietly, one of the 10 Emogers from Move This World: The 10 Emogers are emotional management strategies we can use whenever we feel sad, worried, frustrated, overly excited, or any time we want to focus and calm down. Count to 10, one of the 10 Emogers from Move This World: The 10 Emogers are emotional management strategies we can use whenever we feel sad, worried, frustrated, overly excited, or any time we want to focus and calm down. When we Count to 10, we can practice taking a few seconds to calm down before we do anything else.

Smile Song: The Smile Song is a fun way to remind the people around you that they are loved.

Circle of Gratitude: A Circle of Gratitude is an opportunity for us to think about what we appreciate and are grateful for, and then share that with others.
