Teachers and working parents have a lot on their hands right now. You’re responsible for supporting the academic, social, emotional, and mental wellbeing of students from a distance, or you’re managing your own children at home all day while trying to work yourself. It is a busy, chaotic time and it can easily feel like you have no time for yourself.
But this will lead to burnout, and over time you will feel the impact of the stress. We’ve been working and learning from home for at least a month now, and will be for the foreseeable future. It’s important to find time for self-care so that you can continue to support others. You can’t pour from an empty cup!
