Kristen Crowe, Chief Community Officer, is responsible for building community partnerships, the SEL and mental health supports including the School Counseling program and supports for homeless and foster students for the Scholarship Prep schools. Kristen has over 18 years of experience in TK-16 education and has been a founding counselor at 3 different charter school organizations, building networks of support and services to students in grades TK-12.
SEL is important because it gives people the tools to better understand themselves, others, and their relationships. Increasing your SEL skills will allow you to better understand and regulate your own emotions, interpret and acknowledge the actions of others, and create healthier and more effective interactions with others.
