Current Events

There’s been a lot happening in our world. From a global pandemic to a summer of civil unrest, bringing current events into your classroom can be a great way to help your students process and understand what is happening in our world. Instead of simply debriefing the events that occupy our headlines, invite your students to reflect on how current events being reported in the news makes them and those around them feel. Understanding our emotional reaction to current events can help us better understand how to learn about, discuss, and process the events in our world.
