Involving parents and caregivers in our students’ social emotional learning promotes healthy relationships at home, cultivates effective parent-teacher communication, helps our students to learn by example, and promotes social emotional development in adults.
In this take-home activity, students are given the opportunity to explore healthy and effective emotion management techniques with their loved ones.
Directions:
Students are encouraged to interview an adult or loved one using the questions provided. Students will then record each of their interviewee’s answers below each question. After the interview, students must reflect on what they learned about identifying, expressing and managing emotions from their conversation.
