This Week’s Wins

Research has indicated that when we stop to savor small moments of joy, we develop resilience to the negative events that may be happening in our lives. Try to find something small (or two or three things if you can!) to celebrate. You might celebrate your health, the sun shining, a book you’re reading or a conversation you had with a friend. In this exercise, have students write their small wins within their trophy so they can be acknowledged and celebrated.

This activity was designed to be used once a week, but don’t let that stop you from engaging more. Celebrating small wins and expressing gratitude daily can lead to increased feelings of happiness. Extend this activity by sharing your small wins with family members and friends, and celebrating their small wins with them.
